Microdermabrasion Treatment

Microdermabrasion treatment literally takes years off you by gently exfoliating the outer layers of skin.

Microdermabrasion treatment is a deep exfoliating procedure which removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells to gently clear congestion, improve mild to moderate acne, superficial pigmentation and fine lines.

Instantly you will see a result of clearer skin of a smooth texture after just one treatment, however for more problematic skin concerns, a course may be recommended.

With regular treatments, the skin increases its collagen and elastin formation, to give you a naturally firmer and more rejuvenated look. Leaving you with fresh, healthy looking skin with increased collagen.

7 days prior to treatment do not have: Waxing, tweezing, electrolysis, facials.

Botox/dermal fillers Allow 14 days before commencing with a microdermabrasion treatment, including any touch up injections, to allow botox/fillers to settle.

Men should close shave the night before a treatment if the treatment is in the morning, or in the morning if the treatment is in the afternoon.

Laser treatments or chemical peels These treatments cannot run concurrently with a course of microdermabrasion treatments. Please allow at least 2 weeks before commencing microdermabrasion

Post Treatment –

For 24 hours after treatment:

No heavy Make-Up

Do not touch the area with unwashed hands

For 48 hours after treatment:

No sauna, sun beds or sun exposure

No swimming or exercise that causes excessive sweating

For 7 days after treatment:

Do not use AHA’s, Glycolic acid, Retin-A, Differin or Renova

No ‘Botox’, collagen injections or dermal fillers

Do not use exfoliating products, this can irritate the skin

Do not have waxing, tweezing, electrolysis, laser or chemical peels

At all times during a course of treatment:

Apply a moisturiser to replenish moisture and prevent the skin from becoming dry and peeling.

If some sun exposure cannot be avoided, first apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or greater for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Sunscreen should be part of your daily skin care routine, a sunscreen with at least an SPF 15 minimum must be applied.

We recommend the Decloer sun expert SPF 30 or Decloer BB cream with an SPF 15 (available in 3 shades light, medium or dark)
